Jail Chale Munnabhai : Sanjay Dutt
There was a song school chale hum which was telecast on Doordarshan.
Sanjaydutt Apne Munna bhai will sing "Jail chale hum" .
After a long wait the verdict is out . Sanjay Dutt apna munna bhai is sentenced to 6 years in prison for his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.
"Can you grant me bail?" Dutt then asked the judge. "If it was a lesser crime I could, but in this case I don't have the power to do so," the judge said. - Rediff
I know that many hearts are broken & it is Obvious that Sanjay dutt was in tears. But He has to pay for what he has done.
"As per the CBI case filed in a TADA court, it is alleged that Abu Salem and his men went to Dutt's house on January 16, 1993 and gave him three AK-56 rifles, 25 hand grenades, one 9 mm pistol and cartridges. He returned two AK-56 rifles, hand grenades and cartridges to Hanif Kadawala and Samir Hingora but kept one AK-56 rifle with himself. It is also alleged that after the blasts, Sanjay, who was shooting in Mauritius on learning that Mumbai Police is investigating his involvement in the blasts instructed his friends to destroy the rifle." I am a great fan of Actor Sanjay Dutt. But some of his fans have gone overboard & making ridiculous comments on Rediff & television.

My reply..
We people speak both the way. Agar Sanjay dutt ko aise hi chhod diya gaya hota then We might have said " see this is the situation of our great India. Celebrities & Paisewalo ka koi kuchh nahi bigad shakta".
It is wrong to say that he was targeted being celebrity. He was sentenced for jail only after he accepted that he has committed crime. This comment proves that we are insecure about favourite actor. but Man I call this a Justice. I ofcourse have sympathy with Sanjay dutt.

"there are thousand cases registered against each and every politician in our country ranging from murder,rape,dacoity and god knows what else !!!!! and have you ever heard a single politician to be sentenced for such a long period or even one politician to be hanged ?????????? "

Oh yes. You are right about politician not get caught & sent to jail. It proves that there is corruption in India & judicial system is not perfect. But It does not mean that Sanjay dutt should not be sent to jail for the crime he committed. Is it that if BinLaden is not in jail so all gangsters , small thieves , other criminals should not be sent to jail ? yeh baat kuchh hajam nahi hui.
However I am Glad to find some sane views & I agree with it.
"You have given a strong lesson for those who think that they can get away with the law if they are powerful, connected, influential and rich.Hope the same will prevail in others cases including Salman, Pataudi, Arjun Singh etc."
I again repeat that I am a great fan of actor Sanjay Dutt. I wrote in My review of lage raho Munna bhai that , Future mein jab bhi Munna bhai ka sequel banega , Only Sanjaydutt should play role of Munnabhai. Shayad my wish can not be fulfilled as he will be in jail for 6 years and Hirani can not wait for 6 years to make a sequel of Munnabhai. However shooting of "Munnabhai chale America" 3rd movie of Munnabhai series is completed and we may see it on Big screen very soon.

Dont even think, that he is somebody, just see that him as offender.
Think about u, if anybody only pushes u by mistake, u r already cursing him, and willing 2 revert with revenge.
He has committed the crime with all his presence of mind. Even he has banned drugs consumtion history.
Think about the victims of 1993 blast case, he has got weapons from the supplier of RDX.
Nobody should be released who has committed, it was not an accident that just happended to him.
We should not pardon anybody, just because of that he is behaving right now.
If u r supporting him, then its sure that u r not victim of those blasts.
OR u r leaving in heavens of luxurious life, unhurt, sitting on sofa,
and giving opinions that "This is very SAD, he should not be punished."
Hey Paras,
I am also a fan of Sanjay Dutt but as a movie goer and hence,I would miss him as a great actor (: On the other hand,no one knows how good(or bad) a human being he is and hence,I would not react against his imprisonment.....
Sometimes,people(we) forget that he is a REEL life hero and hence,it is good that he is punished :)

Apparently even the judge wasn't too happy sending him away. He offered him the example of gregory peck doing makenna's gold really late in his career.
Sanju's an ok guy, but I wonder if his recent enthusiasm for social service is just hyperactive penance.
Good thinking bro ... i firmly agree with you that if other politicians are not convicted that doesn't mean that Sanjay dutt should be left alone !! what people are saying on rediff or on various other forums ... is out of sheer fan following ... afterall emotions are also a part of life !! at that time emotional quotient is high ... you will find people accepting ad justifying as the dust settles on this matter !!

sanjay dutt is purely a victim of politics
many keep guns & they run away openly
his biggest mistake was that he addmitted having gun & tried 2 destroy it
those who knew sanju knews that he is gem of person
in up & bihar thousands of people have guns without licence
wht about them
first have a look at the situation then
it was riot time & sanju was getting threat of his sister getting raped
in that situation anyone would do anything 2 save his family
if he was guilty then he could have never addmitted that he was having gun
it would have then definately weeken his case
also he was having tag of terrorist for nearly 12 yrs which was more then punishment
he isnt any hardcore criminal
he donates lakh of rupees every here & then which many less people knws
just as politicians wanted his father reputation 2 b down he was made spacegoat
anyhow i m sure he will b out in 2-3 mths time
just b in his position & think what he had been through
being called terrorist is not easy friends when u r not
sanju will surely rock again
