Wikicamp an unconference in India



Wikicamp is an unconference, where everyone has to speak. Every one is Speaker. Every One is Audience.

Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia will be attending the event as a keynote speaker.

The event is scheduled for the 25th of February, and will take place at the Tidel Park, in Chennai.
WIKICAMP is Organised by "The Knowledge Foundation" , the passionae Group from Chennai which has successfully organised many Unconfferences like Barcamp , Blogcamp , Proto.in.

Wikicamp will have debates , workshops on following topics.

1. Wiki For Dummies : A Workshop for Beginners
2. How Corporate Companies Are Using Wiki for Their Business
3. Vandalism in Wikis: How to protect your wikis.
4. Personal Stories: How wikis have been useful in everyday life.
5. The Growth of Wikipedia
6. Regional Languages in Wikpedia
7. The Birth & Growth of Wikipedia
8. Openserving, Wiki & Wiki Search engine
9. How "user generated commerce" will evolve
10. Will donation alone survives "wiki" model of content distribution
11. Semantic Web & Wiki
12. Why we are yet to have Web-native formats for interoporability of content
13. Wiki.com / Wikia.com issues
14. Structured blogging, Distributed Content architecture
15. The future of Collaboration

The WIKICAMP is organised for knowledge sharing purpose. This is not for profit event. You need to pay only Rs.200 per person , to meet the expenses towards venue, logistics and lunch.
